A few months ago I was sent an e-mail introducing the Clarks Shoes 6 Step Service and their new video and was asked to review it. As many mums, I also went for Clarks when buying Isabelle's first proper shoes, as I knew about this service and wanted her to have her feet measured properly. I think it's better to have one or two high quality shoes than many pairs of low quality shoes. Most of my friends also decided to go for Clarks for the same reason. So when asked to review this service, I actually thought that was fantastic to get some great shoes for Isabelle and review the service and the same time.
We went to a Clarks store on a Saturday afternoon and it was so busy, we decided to come back during the week. When we came back, we were greeted by the store manager and he introduced us to a sales assistant who was looking after us. I think it's important to point out I decided not to tell them about my review in advance. As Isabelle needed some shoes for winter, I was looking around and found two pairs of boots I liked. One of them was black and Isabelle straight away said she didn't liked them. Then I thought, wait a second that can't be true they would have such a small selection. Anyway, the sales assistant measured Isabelle's feet exactly according to the 6 steps ( lenght, width, depth, top lines, heel grip, walking) and told us she was 7,5 G, both feet. Then she checked the stock, but they didn't have the boots we wanted in her size, so she went to order them for us. When we were standing at the counter, she was looking in their catalogue and there I realised they had many more boots on offer. We chose another pair and we were advised it would take 3-5 working days to get them back to the store.
A week later I called the store and both pairs were there. Isabelle tried both pairs. I liked both, but I knew Isabelle would go for the pink boots, as anything that is pink is the best. When we knew which pair to get I showed the sales assistant my letter and I think she looked a bit scared at first, but to be honest she had no reason for it. I have to say all the people looking after us were brilliant, very helpful and definitely did measure Isabelle's feet according to the 6 steps. I would definitely recommend to have your children's feet measured there!
