Meningitis Awareness Week & Brother Max Thermometer Reviewed!

Brother Max is currently working closely with Dr Hilary Jones and Meningitis Research Foundation on a survey that is being distributed among parents in the UK ahead of which Meningitis Awareness Week starts on the 20th of September. The research aims to help parents understand and spot illnesses like meningitis and flu, as well as day to day things like normal temperature ranges for children and babies. The results will suggest how many people in the UK can diagnose the symptoms of meningitis amongst other interesting health statistics. This research aims to help parents understand and spot illnesses like meningitis and flu, as well as day to day things like: Children’s normal temperature ranges, Ideal nursery temperature ,Ideal sleeping position for babies, Differences between flu and meningitis.

I have to admit I have completed the questionnaire and don't now the answers to all the questions. Cannot wait for the results!

When I was contacted to review this thermometer, I had no idea how great it is. It is a 3 in 1 thermometer, which measures ear, forehead and room temperature! Before using it I checked out the video demonstration how to use it, and can honestly say, it was very easy to use. Just look at the symbols on each button and you will see for yourself. I really appreciate you don't have to buy additional disposable probe covers (which are usually very expensive), as it can be cleaned just with a baby or alcohol wipes. Another great feature is that it can be wall mounted ( great news- no need for screws!) or you can just have it in its stand on a flat surface. The temperature is taken in just one second and the thermometer has also been certified as a medical device. The battery should last for 6 months and it should indicate when it's going to run out. The thermometer is suitable for children and adults and is BpA-free,Phthalate-free and PVC-free. For more information go to the official website www.brothermax.com

All in all, I think it's a great investment as you get the thermometer, stand, durable carry case, user's manual, 2x AAA batteries for £34.99 (the suggested RSP). The thermometer we have bought before getting this one for a review, was more expensive and we have also spent a lot of money on disposable probe covers!
