Christmas is a special time, a time for families, for sharing and giving but for some children Christmas is just another day.
This Christmas Magic 105.4's charity Cash for Kids has teamed up with leading Children’s charity Action for Children to raise money for neglected and underprivileged children in London. Action for Children is committed to helping the most vulnerable and neglected children and young people in the UK break through injustice, deprivation and inequality, so they can achieve their full potential.
What Is Child Neglect?
A neglected child may go hungry, cold and dirty. They may be denied the love and care that every child deserves. As a result, they may suffer poor mental and physical health and low self esteem. They are likely to become isolated and angry. They may have problems trusting others and find it hard to form positive relationships in the future. They will probably carry these problems into adulthood and all too often, pass them on to their own children.
THESE CHILDREN MAY NOT EVEN RECEIVE A HOT MEAL ON CHRISTMAS DAY LET ALONE PRESENTS!
